Finished the second "Paul Sinclair" story and liked it immensely. I will say Mr. Hemry's court room descriptions are a bit of a slog. I spent 20 years in the military with 10 of them as a senior NCO [The Air Force's version of a Chief Petty Officer ) I was involved in 2 Courts Martial (look it up civies that's the correct way to say it) as Master at Arms and find the procedures described here accurate to my experience. Maybe that's why I find some of the detail a bit tedious. But to the rest of the book - OUTSTANDING! Good character development, good sense of literary tension and he always comes through with a satisfying ending. Readers can buy the book knowing they'll get their money's worth.Product details

Read it at least twice. Wish the author would do some more about these characters!
Good follow up novel, I felt it flowed better than the first. I will be picking up the third shortly
Just as I loved the character in The Lost Fleet and the Lost Stars, I have now found a new character in Paul Sinclair. John G. Henry write4s a good story whether he's writing as himself or as Jack Campbell. The only problem is now I have to look under both names to find their books.
Not as good as the Lost Fleet series but readable and engaging.
A great--plausible, engaging, rewarding--continuation of the Paul Sinclair series. The officer and enlisted corps ring with highly recognizable accuracy, even to this Army man.

It seems as if this book was done just to continue the series. The characters are solid but the storyline is very weak. There's a lack of intensity that you expect these days in space opera. I understand that you don't need mayhem and destruction, but the intensity still has to be there.
Another good book by Mr. Hemry. The Paul Sinclair Series is very good. If you like NCIS, then you will enjoy this Series.
