This was everything a bad book should be. The erotic scenes were ok. The price you pay sometimes for just randomly buying stuff.
story started out so well, but then nothing but sex, domination, and guilt carried the rest of the story ( and not very well either ). The heroine did nothing the entire story but question herself and the Hero and their love and obligation....etc, etc, etc. There is no HEA, no ending really and nothing was carried out to the full extent of the action. really disappointed as the intro built a lot of interest for nothing.

So glad I picked up this "new to me" author's book today. I pretty much read it in one sitting.
In a nutshell - the Prince is captured and is going to be killed. Octavia is a High Priestess and is drawn to him and saves him from her people that have captured him. He flips it and kidnaps her and that's when the kinky sex begins.
Yes, this book has lots of sex, spanking and just other kink in it. If that's not for you - don't buy it. I read these short books basically just for that - a nice fast read that has hotness rolled in.
I will be looking for more from Claire Conrad.
Several different elements that enhance the story but because the submission isn't more elaborated it's not a top rate book
This is one of the best sci-fi romances I have read in a while. Markus, an uber sexy Delti warrior is captured and tortured by his enemy the Zatari. Octavia, a high ranking Zatari priestess defies her people by rescuing Markus and escaping with him. The road to becoming fated mates is full of conflict and wicked hot sex. It is a terrific read.
